Adele Wolstenhulme, DipION FdSc BA(Hons) DipIT Sec Man
I am passionate about helping people to understand just how powerful an effect the food that we eat, and how we eat it, can have on how we feel. When faced with a serious health condition in my early 20s I began to focus more on what I was eating and began experimenting with a wider variety of fresh foods. I was astounded at the difference just a few dietary adjustments made to my health and wellbeing, and from that moment on I wanted to understand the science behind food and get to a place where I could share this knowledge and help guide, motivate and inspire others from a professional perspective. Nutritional therapy revolutionised my health and changed my life, and since practicing as a professional I have helped guide others on their own journey back to health, which is hugely rewarding. So let me help you get back your 'get up and go' and banish those niggling symptoms for good!
As well as running a busy practice practice on Central London's Harley Street, and more recently at Belsize Health in West London, Adele recently became the Nutritional Therapy expert for the London Sleep Centre – a leader in the provision of diagnostic and treatment services for people with sleep disorders and related medical and psychological conditions. Other specialties include digestive problems (stress-related, IBS and IBD-related, parasites, candida), weight management and sports nutrition.
As an ION-trained practitioner, she has met the strict criteria required for Nutritional Therapy Council (NTC)/Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) registration—the Professional Standards Council for regulation of Nutritional Therapists, funded by the Department of Health. Adele is also registered on the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practitioners for GP referrals and is bound by a strict code of ethics in clinical practice, as set by the British Association of Nutritional Therapy and Applied Nutrition (BANT).
